BAE Systems Engineering Support Specialist II in Washington, District Of Columbia

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a mid-level Military Construction (MILCON) documentation developer who will support the Navy Program Manager responsible for Strategic Systems Planning (SSP) Facilities Acquisition at TRIDENT Submarine Bases Kings Bay Georgia and Bangor Washington. The selected candidate will help to develop comprehensive MILCON documentation to include Basic Facility Requirement (BFR) documents, review Facility Planning Documents (FPD), input data into Electric Project Generator (EPG), and develop construction cost estimates. Additionally, the selected candidate will provide technical input for the development of conceptual construction project drawings and make recommendations to solve infrastructure issues.

This position will be located in Washington, DC and there is no relocation assistance available. If relocation is necessary, the selected candidate must be willing to relocate at his/her own expense.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Minimum education and years of related/relevant work experience required: bachelor s degree and at least 2-years of related professional work experience.

Associates Degree and 4 years of experience or Highschool Diploma and 6 years of experience.

Additional skills/experience required:

  • Ability to clearly communicate in English, both written and verbal

  • Microsoft Office

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Hands on experience preparing MILCON documentation (DD Form 1391)

Hands on NAVFAC or Army Corp of Engineers Experience

Public Works experience

Construction cost estimating experience.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $64130 - $109010

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
