IHG Payroll Executive in Malta

Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers and a knack for accuracy? Join our dynamic team at Intercontinental Malta as a Payroll Executive and contribute to the success of our thriving hospitality business. We are seeking a dedicated and organized professional to handle payroll responsibilities with precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  1. Payroll Processing:
  • Verify and reconcile timesheets, ensuring all hours worked, overtime, leave and sick leave and any other applicable adjustments are accounted for.

  • Accurately calculate and process employee wages, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

  1. Administration Duties:
  • Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate and timely processing of benefit-related documents.

  • Maintain organized and up-to-date payroll records, including employee information, tax withholding forms, and other relevant documentation.

  • Generate payroll reports and statistics as needed for management and auditing purposes.

  1. Compliance:
  • Stay informed about relevant employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance in payroll processing.

  • Work closely with the finance team to address any payroll-related audits and inquiries.

  1. Communication:
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters in a professional and timely manner.

  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to communicate any changes in payroll policies or procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a payroll clerk or human resources, preferably in the hospitality industry.

  • Should have understanding about payroll processes, taxation, and benefits administration.

  • Experience with Indigo or another payroll software on the Maltese market is of advantage.

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus.

  • Previous experience in payroll processing and knowledge of Indigo would be considered as an asset
