ManpowerGroup Security Architect II in Syracuse, New York

Network Architect

Remote - 90 % remote 10% onsite in SYRACUSE, NY for meetings, collaboration

6+ month contract opp.

• Provide vision, architectural oversight and life cycle engineering for the National Grid Global Network infrastructure.

• Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the infrastructure through a detailed knowledge of the components and how they integrate and interact. The Data, Voice and Security Infrastructure components include:

o Cisco SD-WAN, LAN, WAN, WLAN

o Cisco Unified Communications

o Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) Cloud Proxy

o Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) Cloud Proxy

o DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) Infoblox

o Firewalls (Palo Alto / CheckPoint / Cisco ASA)

o Cisco FirePOWER IPS

o Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine)

o F5 Load Balancers LTM/GTM

• Responsibilities will include design, implementation, technical support and maintenance of:

o Design, implement, and support solutions involving, but not limited to, WAN, LAN, WLAN, Data Analytics, Security and Virtual (e.g.; Virtualization, SDN, NFV) Data Center technologies.

o Focus on solution development and architectural design for assigned customer base with specific emphasis on Verizon Business global managed services and communications solutions portfolio.

o Create client solutions based on business requirements involving advanced networks, data center, security, and virtualization technologies; as well as development of fault and performance management policies and automation rules.

o Collaborate with Engineering/Planning, IT, Product Development, and various Verizon and external delivery and support teams to manage the design and implementation of client projects.

o Provide technical training and support for the Operations team.

o Develop a deep knowledge and strong ability to articulate Verizon offerings across multiple disciplines including data, voice, managed services, IT, security and mobility strategies Translate customer business issues/opportunities into technical solution/business requirements

o Analyze, evaluate, and communicate network capacity and performance data with the objective of driving improvements to customer's network.

o Provide Matrix supervision of a team for specific projects, resource management, process documentation, and peer mentoring.

o Oversee customer network documentation such as solution design document, record of change, and network diagrams.

o Act as an escalation point, providing 4th level incident support for customers.

o Create presentations and demonstrations related to technology, process, or client solutions as necessary

o Author and deliver network designs, statements of work, and technical project plans incorporating service and program management activities

o As a Subject Matter Expert in network technologies, address technical challenges and opportunities in your domain of expertise the vast majority of the time

o Act as the technical SME for network architecture to IT professionals by providing customer needs analysis, engineering and design of technical solutions, pricing and proposal assistance, technical presentations, technical consultation to internal and external customers, and to assist as the technical closer on sales opportunities

o Assist in developing and updating the long-range, comprehensive plan for the customers contact center systems, processes, technical architecture and standards.

o Expected to stay abreast of relevant changes in technology and maintaining focus on the strategic requirements by working with the business units in a continuous cycle of planning for growth and optimization.

o Consulting on network designs and technical engineering solutions to address specific customer requirements.

o Collecting and confirming detailed information from customers, account teams, and Engineering groups that are specific to the business requirements for purposes of designing network solutions.

o Delivering network diagrams, documentation and internal technical support training in order to successfully sustain and continuously improve the environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience

• CCIE Data Center certification

Ten or more years of relevant work experience

• Ten or more years of experience as a Network Architect focused

• Ten or more years of network architecture experience in conceptualization, definition and development of IT and/or telecom based products and service with verifiable instances of implementing one or more of the following:

o Data, Security and IP Services (MPLS, VoIP, PIP, VPN, IP PBX)

o Managed Network Services (LAN, WAN, Content Delivery)

o Data Center Outsourcing (application hosting, managed storage)

o IT Applications Management (SOA, Web Services, RTE)

o QoS experience in routing, switching and voice

• Expert level certifications in one or more of the following strongly preferred

o Cisco CCIE Data Center

o TOGAF

o ITIL

• Experience in sales or service of Fortune 500 companies

• Successful project delivery in a Fortune 100 company

• Proven analytic skills and the ability to isolate and resolve complex issues

• Strong oral and written communication skills
