In the context, the position holder will assume the Quality Assurance and Quality Control Site Initiative Leader role for a set of initiatives under the Quality Assurance & Quality Control stream at the Swiftwater, Pennsylvania, United States site. You will work under the supervision of the strategic initiative leader and in collaboration with above-site support (Global M&S, Global Vaccines M&S) and the site Continuous Improvement (CI) specialists.

Your job, as Quality Assurance and Quality Control Site Initiative Leader within our Manufacturing & Supply Vaccines (M&S V) Team, will be to develop, plan, and manage the site performance execution for your initiatives.

Main responsibilities:

Lead Quality process improvements and drive execution of assigned portfolio with detailed planning, deliverables and KPI targets at his/her site level with the support of the Global function Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Vaccines transformation Leader:

• Check readiness CI mechanism to meet performance trajectory by full staffing of CI specialists and aligned PCU deployment .

• Set performance/financial targets in alignment with Compelling Business Needs (CBN) and site performance trajectory and determines resources required to deliver project (FTE, OPEX, CAPEX) and acts towards funding/staffing of his/her initiatives in scope.

• Execute the Quality control and assurance initiatives using lean manufacturing methodology in alignment with overall performance trajectory roadmaps, SMS 2.0 deployment and in accordance to expected productivity improvement.

• Ensure deployment of site practices consistent with the ecosystem and broader network while contributing to the development of QA/QC playbook, validation of material testing, automation and digital solutions and delivering requested documentation (test protocols, change controls...).

• Coordinate work of various CI specialists and support personnel to ensure progress on plan and prioritize according the value while driving competency upskilling, planning and dynamic staffing of local deployment teams.

About you

Experience :

  • At least 2 years of full-time work experience in Quality role (or similar position) with demonstrated success in leading and evaluating performance improvement initiatives.

  • Demonstrated success in establishing and maintaining cooperative partnerships at both local and international levels.

Soft skills :

  • Change management skills (disrupts the status quo while remaining pragmatic and focus on priorities).

  • Able to train staff in performance improvement methodologies, but also to lead, animate, persuade, and empower networks and teams giving them proper feed-back (strong communication skills).

  • Result oriented with capabilities on stakeholder management to drive decision making process.

Technical skills:

  • Understanding of vaccines industrial requirements.

  • Knowledgeable in Quality control and assurance with demonstrated ability to drive initiatives from concept to execution, to distill complex data into a compelling visual story and manage continuous improvement and problem solving.

  • Experience in Industrial Performance or Site Manufacturing with proven track record in Lean Manufacturing Principles / Lean transformation.

Education :

  • Master’s Degree in Health science or Engineering.

Languages :

  • Ability to read, write and interact in English.
