POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under general supervision, recycles and recovers unsold or damaged products, as well as raw materials and production scraps.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sorts and identifies unused footwear, handbags, and other accessories.

• Labels each item according to specifications.

• Dismantles items, separates, and sorts each raw material, leather, plastic, fabric, etc. by type and color.

• Identifies and follows the right protocol for each individual item.

• Identifies, selects, and uses correct tooling to cut and optimize the recyclability of each item.

• Promotes good housekeeping by keeping workstations clean and uncluttered.

• Documents actions in the system as needed.

• Meets productivity standards while producing quality results.

• Complies with all confidentiality requirements

• Continually support the agency safety program and contributes employee safety.

• Accomplishes retail and organization mission by completing related assignments as needed.

U Q ALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Ability to operate manual and automated equipment as necessary.

• Ability to receive and carry out instructions provided in written, oral or diagram form.

• Ability to quickly assess goods and determine appropriate routing.
