Toyota Finance Administrator in San Juan, Puerto Rico

Note: This position is based out of San Juan, Puerto Rico. This position does not offer relocation assistance.

The Finance Administrator applies business process and analytical skills in a dynamic environment to support TCPR Finance and Accounting operation. This position provides insight into the accounting operation and is responsible for the overall compliance and adherence to internal policies and procedures. This position is responsible for data analysis and reporting, as well as support on the local tax requirements.

Also, will participate in the design, testing, implementation, and review of complex manual and automated financial and accounting systems and processes. To be successful as a Finance Administrator, you should be able to perform a variety of financial activities including analysis, and reporting. Should also have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be able to present financial information in a concise and easily comprehensible manner. Will also be responsible for assisting with monthly close processes.

Primary Job Accountabilities:

Research and Administrative Reporting

  • Accurately research and work the administrative reports following FOPP guidelines.

  • Daily review of 023 - Unapplied items.

  • Ensure all Retail Exchange items are correct, provide a detail explanation when required.

Accounting Analysis & Internal Control

  • Offer advanced analysis and review of accounting transactions for troubleshooting and possible adjustments to be recommended.

  • Review and analysis of the main TCPR P/L accounts for accuracy.

  • Evaluate internal procedures to give suggestions on how to enhance information process and resource flow.

  • Collects, organizes, and analyzes financial and statistical data to prepare reports while assists the Supervisor in the decision-making process.

  • Perform account reconciliations, account analysis, and others as requested.

  • Evaluates TCPR bank reconciliations ensuring that all pending items have been documented properly, submit to Corporate Accounting following the established guidelines.

  • Revise TCPR actual expenses compared to Plan & Forecast. Report variances to Supervisor as needed.

Manage the TCPR and TdPR Team Member Lease Program

  • Ensure new request are completed appropriately.

  • Complete the contract for the delivery of new leases.

  • Manage and complete the vehicles registration process in the Autoreg system.

  • Process payments in the establish timeframe.

  • Review and update the information related to the driver’s licenses expiration date.

  • Support the insurance claims process.

Other responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing special projects to improve process efficiency and performance.

  • Facilitates a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.

  • Participate in a development of a Kaizen project that directly benefits the FP&A Department during the fiscal year.

  • Review and update department policies and procedures.

  • Knowledgeable on current state, federal compliance policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Identify and report compliance risks and gaps in current policies, procedures and/or regulations internally.

  • Complete satisfactorily all mandatory training required.

Education: Four-Year College Degree (BA or BS): preferably on Accounting or Finance related fields.

Experience: 2-5 years of relevant / progressive work experience (in similar field and/or industry)

Licenses, Certifications & Specialized Skills

Required:

  • Intermediate knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office Excel (including Pivot Table, Power BI, SUMIF, COUNTIF, VLOOKUP etc.).

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate financial concepts effectively.

  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

  • Self-starter and independent.

  • Understanding of accounting processes, procedure, and internal controls

  • Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Work collaboratively with other team members.

Preferred:

  • CPA License.

  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of Finance and Accounting Principles. Knowledge and skills in the analysis of financial information and accounting pronouncements.

  • Experience with finance companies or banks.

  • Financial reporting, spreadsheet, and database software experience.

  • Strong research and data analysis skills.
