Location - Service Territory: Italy – North - Milan East Area, Remote

Division: Unity Lab Services , part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, provides critical on-site instrument services at customer locations. Our colleagues are passionate about improving customer experience and service operations efficiency.

We are looking for:

Job Title: Field Service Engineer (f/m/d)

Discover Impactful Work:

This is an excellent opportunity to enter in our growing Field Service team and make a difference - you will receive comprehensive training from our colleagues to get you started with your development within Thermo Fisher Scientific.

A day in the Life:

  • Perform remote and on-site solving, maintenance, repair and installation on ICLC-LSMS systems;

  • Provide on-site training relative to system service, maintenance, and basic operation.

  • Keep track and maintain local spare part's inventory.

  • Collaborate with colleagues in our customer care center to efficiently schedule your service visits to meet and exceed customer expectations.

  • Install our products from our diverse Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry portfolio, demonstrate instrument specification and guide customers on use and maintenance.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and qualifications on customer instruments and help to improve instrument uptime and availability.

  • Detailed preparation and documentation of maintenance and qualification activities to meet regulatory requirements.

Keys to Success:

Education & Experience

  • Professional training or University degree (bachelor/master/diploma) in Sciences, Engineering, Electronics or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in an analytical laboratory is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Curiosity about analytical instruments, systems, applications, new products and technologies.

  • Self-organized and efficient way of working.

  • Collaborative nature and positive appearance.

  • Good knowledge of local language and English and good communicator.

  • Good hardware and software skills especially of Windows operating systems and applications as well as Microsoft Office package.

  • Ability to travel within the designated area in the territory and occasionally within the EMEA region.

  • Valid driving license (Class B)
