Job Description Summary

This position is responsible for providing assistance in the ISC Computer Operations environment and will include interaction and activities with staff, clients and vendors and related services, equipment and assets.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Supporting quality assurance, facilities management, and compliance process for the Infrastructure Operations organization, including, but not exclusive to maintaining up-to-date mechanical drawings for glycol, electric fire protection, proper weight management of physical space and maintenance of Liebert mechanical equipment.

  • Assist with quality inspections.

  • Support control standards, policies and procedures; identify and document potential problems and hazards and corrective actions.

  • Supports change control and configuration management with all facilities used by ISC and external clients, providing needed data to support updates to clients and end-users on issues and matters relating to data center operations, including scheduled preventative maintenance programs, response and root cause analysis of alarms and other service affecting conditions.

  • Supports quality assurance activities across projects with service owners and project managers.

  • Perform required safety inspection checklist.

Qualifications

  • Technical training or an equivalent combination of education and experience, as well as ability to lift up to 50 pounds, are required.

  • Experience in physical planning for Data Center infrastructure and hardware across multiple locations.

  • Solid planning, thorough documentation skills and solid communications skills; experience with colocation facilities, either as a provider or customer.

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2008. ISO 20000, and ITIL Foundations a plus.

  • Experience supporting Data Center electrical and cooling systems and monitoring services

  • Planning and communication skills.

  • Knowledge and skill with pc hardware, software and Microsoft Suite.

  • Demonstrated Reliability
