Summary of Duties:

 

The WSU Energy Program manages many programs for the state of Washington and contracts with other state agencies to provide performance evaluation and management support. This position will support senior analysts in the collection and analysis of program data for several of these efforts and will assist in conducting performance assessments and in the development of recommendations for improvements and enhancements to existing efforts. This work includes developing and organizing data using tables and charts, GIS- style maps and data visualization tools, as well as performing programmatic research activities to identify best practices in residential energy efficiency programs and diversity, equity and inclusion in program services. This position will also support workforce analysis and workforce development research in residential energy efficiency.

 

This position develops, analyses, maintains and refines summary tables, graphs and other data visualization approaches, as well as refines and maintains the data used in the analyses. Finally, this position provides smaller amounts of analytical, data curation and data visualization support to other projects at the WSU Energy Program led by other analysts, engineers and building scientists.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant energy program discipline and two (2) years experience in energy management, program management, environmental education, technical writing or information analysis and delivery. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

 

• Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• Experience working independently and in a team, particularly with a variety of individuals.

 

• Experience managing multiple activities concurrently and meeting project deadlines.

 

• Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced and changing environment.

 

• Experience developing technical reports or program planning.

 

• Experience coordinating activities or information within a team environment.

Monthly Salary:

 

$3,900.00 - $5,185.00

Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
