BANK OF UTAH BSA compliance Specialist in OGDEN, Utah

The BSA/Deposit Compliance Specialist plays a key role in the Bank's compliance risk management program. This person assists in the operational functions of BSA procedures set forth by the compliance manual and the BSA/AML/OFAC risk assessment. This person will be working on deposit compliance requirements and BSA operational functions.  This is to include CTR and MIL filings, OFAC and 314a scrubs, well as monitoring all of the deposit-related regulations.

Experience/Skills necessary to perform duties:

  • Bachelor's degree is required, or combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of retail banking and/or retail operations.
  • Any BSA, Deposit Compliance, CIP, or KYC preferred.
  • Any combination of the above mentioned criteria
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as this position requires interfacing with various retail staff and other lines of business.

Regular Duties and Responsibilities:

The BSA/Deposit Compliance Specialist will work closely with the Deposit Compliance Officer and BSA Officer to ensure the Bank follows the Deposit Compliance, BSA/AML, and OFAC policies and procedures set forth by the Board of Directors. Specifically, the BSA Analyst will be responsible for the following:

 ·         Create, verify and file daily Currency Transaction Reports (CTR)

·         Create, verify and file Applications to Purchase (MIL)

·         Create cases suspicious activity for further review

·         Perform OFAC and 314a scrubs

·         Monitor Reg CC Holds placed

·         Monitor KYC/CIP for all deposit/lending accounts opened

·         Monitor Reg E disputes

·         Other monitoring related to deposit regulations

·         Other duties as assigned
