HCA Healthcare Scheduling Manager WFH in Nashville, Tennessee

Introduction

The Scheduling Manager contributes to the company’s mission, vision, and values by maintaining the Anesthesia staffing and scheduling process. The manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and activities for direct reports to ensure staffing schedules are produced within a timely manner to meet the needs of each facility and projected patient volume. The Scheduling Manager will work to ensure department productivity and quality standards are met and/or exceeded by coordinating staffing and developing standard and efficient workflows.

Job Summary and Qualifications

  • Manages provider scheduling process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in completion.

  • Provides daily oversight, direction, support, and leadership to scheduling team.

  • Maintain communication with division operators to ensure standards are being adhered to, address any system or process issues, and ensure all training needs are met.

  • Collaborate with key leaders to successfully accomplish organizational and program goals.

  • Communicate scheduling updates to senior leadership as needed.

  • May carry up to 20% of the scheduling workload, updating and maintaining schedules as necessary.

  • Conduct regular staff meetings and ensure training needs are met.

  • Ensure compliance with company and department policies and procedures.

  • Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure department goals are met or exceeded.

  • Determine number of personnel, staff hours, and resources required for productivity.

  • Screen, interview, and hire new employees.

  • Review, correct, and approve employee timecards appropriately.

  • Evaluate staff performance and recommend appropriate merit increases and promotions.

  • Counsel staff regarding disciplinary and performance issues.

  • Coach and mentor staff for career development.

  • Assist leadership with the creation and implementation of QGenda standardized reporting to assist with efficiencies and meeting financial goals.

  • Participates in the QGenda configuration for new facilities.

  • Maintain working knowledge of all workflow, systems, and tools used within the department.

  • Establish strong relationships with internal and external team-members, working closely with vendor credentialing, facility medical staff privileging, payer enrollment, recruiting, payroll and program operations.

  • Demonstrates sense of urgency, flexibility and a positive approach to problem solving within a fast-paced environment.

  • Responsible for adhering to all HCA Policies.

  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required. Equivalent work experience may substitute education requirements.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in staffing industry, healthcare staffing preferred.

  • Previous management experience highly preferred.
