Position Responsibilities We are seeking an experienced and accomplished direct service and community-building professional to join our team as a Resident Connections Coordinator in the Elliot Park neighborhood of Minneapolis, MN. The Resident Connections Coordinator will partner with residents, Aeon Staff, and community partners to develop and implement strategies for resident stability and community-building, to promote an overall sense of safety and belonging for Aeon residents. The Resident Connections Coordinator will report to the Senior Resident Connections Coordinator. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develop supportive, professional relationships with residents that help enhance the quality of their lives, as well as support their ability to contribute to community-building at Aeon properties. Identify, develop and maintain partnerships with local social service and community agencies that effectively assist residents to achieve their needs and life goals in areas including education, employment, mental and physical health Accessing mental health crisis services or other mental health support systems for residents may be a component of the position. Provide opportunities for resident leadership through trainings, conferences, and other community connection experiences. Partner with Property Management when a resident engages in a negative outcome indicator and offer support to the resident to alleviate the situation positively and quickly. Coordinate and help facilitate resident meetings and events. Consistently track, measure and report program progress and outcomes through documentation and software. Skills & Qualifications Two or more years of related experience working directly with individuals experiencing or significantly impacted by mental health, substance use, poverty, homelessness, and trauma with previous case management or human service background preferred. Community organizing experience is strongly preferred. Must have demonstrated ability and commitment to interpersonal interactions that are culturally responsive, ensuring consideration for differing needs and expectations. Somali language, Spanish language and/or Hmong language skills are a plus. Experience working with culturally diverse communities, seniors and/or persons with high barriers is required. Must have a commitment to learning and participating in Aeon's diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. Experience in program development and management; volunteer coordination. Skilled in relationship-building ability to be a trusted partner. Enthusiastic approach to planning, promotion, and hosting group meetings and events. Flexible schedule required as meetings and events will occur on weekdays, weeknights, and weekends. Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and vehicle insurance Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 10lbs. Ability to reach above and below the shoulders. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to complete daily tours between properties including but not limited to inspecting grounds, hallways, stairwell, and apartment homes. Ability to file, open and close file drawers, and enter data into a computer for extended periods of time. Ability to withstand external weather conditions. Compensation, Hours & Location This position pays $24/hr and offers an impressive benefit package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, retirement plan, paid time off and an employee assistance program. This full-time position offers mostly Monday-Friday, daytime hours. Typical work schedules are 8:30am-5pm, but there is some flexibility in these hours to accommodate the needs of the position and the staff person. Planned resident and community events and meetings may occur in the early evenings and/or weekends on occasion. This position will primarily work at Aeon properties in the Elliot Park neighborhood of Minneapolis, MN. As a member of the roader Resident Services team, this Resident Connection Coordinator may also support other Aeon properties and teams throughout Aeon's Twin Cities portfolio.
