Sun Country Airlines Charter Operations Agent in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Description JOB SUMMARY The Charter Operations Agent is a key member within the SOC (System Operations Control) team and provides customer service to both internal and external clients during the operational day. This position is responsible for the timely and accurate dissemination of information to multiple stakeholders including flight dispatch, maintenance, vendors, external clients as well as the SOC Duty Manager. The ideal candidate for this position is a motivated self-starter who enjoys thinking outside the box and striving to always deliver the best customer service possible to set the Sun Country charter experience apart. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Answers phone calls from clients, vendors and charter representatives while maintaining a high level of professionalism during stressful situations. Monitors all charter flight movements and communicate information and delays to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner. Ensure charter delays are communicated and coded properly. Maintain control and confidentiality of client manifests and security sensitive information. Collaborate and assist in developing the execution of irregular operations within the SOC, as well as with internal and external stakeholders. Confirm services and handling requests arranged for charter operations. Ability to prioritize tasks in a rapidly evolving airline operations environment. Performs tasks in accordance with Sun Country Airlines policies and procedures while maintaining a high level of operational safety and integrity. Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Charter Operations SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY None QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Associate degree and/or 1-2 years related airline experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Excellent communication (both written and verbal), organizational and problem-solving skills. Work effectively with minimal supervision under stressful situations Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, OneNote) and able to use or quickly learn applications. Qualified candidates must pass a criminal history background check as well as a pre-employment drug test. PREFERRED SKILLS Working knowledge of Navitaire applications (GoNow, SkySpeed). Previous charter, ground handling, or airline operations experience preferred. WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands or fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. ADDITIONAL NOTES Must be able to obtain a SIDA badge.
