Overview

The Talent Development Specialist II is to take on more advanced and strategic responsibilities in order to further enhance the skills, knowledge, and overall development of employees.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Develops unique training programs to fulfill team members’ specific needs to maintain or improve job skills

  • Designs and implements programs focused on long-term growth and career development of employees.

  • Proactively work with leaders, HR Business Partners, and subject matter experts to align training efforts to company and departmental short- and long-term goals.

  • Develops and implements advanced and personalized learning paths for employees, supporting their career growth and skill development.

  • Participates in management development programs, succession planning meetings, and/or performance evaluation cycles

  • Assist and facilitate the design, development, and delivery of in-person and virtual training programs

  • Utilize feedback on course effectiveness to improve course design and implementation practices

  • Provide subject matter expertise as it pertains to excellence in training

  • Assist with the design, implementation and maintenance of Learning Management System and run system reports to view/report employees/teams performance

  • Administer company and/or division programs, such as Young Professionals, Internships, Co-Ops, and Mentor program

  • Contribute to L&D department events & activities

  • Works effectively as a team member with business leaders

  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention

This position is Full-Time, Exempt, and reports to the Director of Learning and Development.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Training, Organizational Development or related field of study

  • 2-4 years of experience developing and delivering training and presentations for various audiences

  • Effective communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to inspire and engage learners

  • Training facilitation and logistics

  • May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to subordinate group

  • Effective communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to inspire and engage learners

  • Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff

  • Knowledge of adult learning techniques, instructional design, facilitation and consultation

  • Strong organizational and project management skills to meet multiple priorities

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience with UKG Learning is a plus.

Travel Requirements

  • This position may require periodic travel to the Company’s offices throughout the Southeast United States for purposes of strategizing, developing or delivering company training plans and programs.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
