Position Overview The Senior Technical Sourcing Specialist is a liaison between the Operations team and Exact Sciences\' approved and potential suppliers. A solid science, production, engineering, or procurement background and passion for supply chain is required for this role. The scope of work will vary but will require working with a diverse team of cross-functional stakeholders. The Senior Technical Sourcing Specialist is expected to provide leadership in the procurement elements of a project with an understanding of the technical requirements. Areas of focus include supplier evaluation, negotiation, monitoring, supply risk management, request for proposals (RFPs), support for new product initiatives, and technical troubleshooting with suppliers. This role requires a persistent and eager individual to find solutions that meet Exact Sciences\' operational needs, building a robust supply chain in a rapidly growing company. Essential Duties include but are not limited to the following: Collaborate with strategic suppliers when opportunities arise, and technical support follow-up is required. Attend cross-functional meetings to support new product initiatives and product support. Provide updates to stakeholders to ensure all are aware of ongoing initiatives and projects with suppliers. Develop request for proposals (RFP\'s) with input from cross-functional areas. Analyze proposal responses with cross-functional teams. Identify and evaluate backup and alternate suppliers based on business needs. Provide technical information to suppliers to support investigations. Drive follow-up with suppliers to meet aggressive timelines. Assist with development and implementation of strategic supply chain initiatives, including cost savings initiatives and secondary sourcing. Engage in contract negotiations to drive year-over-year costs savings. Assist and manage with supply agreement negotiations.
