Whether you are looking to hone your craft or pick up new skills and specialties, The Falcon Group is a team to support your professional and personal growth and foster creativity and innovation.The RequirementsWe are seeking energetic junior/senior year students in the field of Architecture/Civil/Structural/ Engineering for the Co-Op program at 1150 First Ave, Suite 930, King of Prussia, PA 19406 office of the Falcon Group. Those selected will receive appropriate training during the Co-Op program and will learn to apply the engineering principles.Responsibilities include on-site inspection assistance of both site renovation work and/or building renovation work; construction observation assistance; construction / project management assistance. Projects may include the Co-op being responsible for overseeing the quantities of materials, methods of installation and compliance with building codes and industry standards. Assistance with on-site inspections and construction observations of existing properties for the purpose of collecting information for an engineering report. These inspections and observations may include checking the existing construction methods and materials against the original design plans and documents and applicable codes and standard office assistance as well as documentation via digital photography and/or digital video may also be required. Some projects may include submitting and/or picking up plans to/from local building departments on behalf of The Falcon Group; assistance with reviewing building department plan responses; verifying building permit status. Standard office assistance may also be required, as responsibilities may be modified or reallocated between departments depending upon the active projects in place during the time of the internship; assisting the CAD Department; assisting with the coordination of working with local and/or remote teams, engineers, consultants, building officials, and clients. Assisting Falcon Senior Team Members with site analysis, design development, technical specifications, and design input may be required as well. Experience, knowledge and / or interest in decks, balconies, and/or roofing building envelope/enclosure and structural design would be helpful and a very big plus.Duration of the Co-Op ProgramImmediate and ongoing during the academic school yearQualificationsJunior/Senior year students in Architecture/Civil/Structural EngineeringPay Rate$20/hour.BenefitsWe offer an engaging and professional work environment with learning opportunities.
