DAL Global Services Safety Manager Cabin Cleaning JFK (Delta) in Jamaica, New York
Working under the direction of the Director of Safety and the local Station Manager, the Field Safety Manager is responsible for initiating and developing policies and procedures that effectively control accident and health exposures in the Company to minimize OSHA citations.
Manages injury reporting and documentation using the STARS system.
Oversees incident investigations.
Oversees and coordinates team activities to ensure a safe, reliable, efficient and effective operation.
Monitors and enforces safe and compliant working environment in accordance with OSHA regulations and all applicable laws.
Promotes and adheres to DGS policy concerning safety, anti-harassment and equal employment opportunity.
Maintains station Safety Business Plans.
Compiles data, develops trend analysis, and provides reports and direction for safety mitigation and incident reduction.
Initiates review board/safety panels with on-duty staff.
Participates in safety planning and injury prevention.
Reports out to Station Manager, Safety Coordinator and Director of Safety and Regulatory Compliance.
Develops and implements programs designed to reduce injuries and raise safety awareness.
Completes required OSHA training program.
Partners with Workers Compensation coordinator to reconcile claims and injuries.
