Lilly Representative - HSE in Indianapolis, Indiana

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the direction and technical support for HSE programs. The HSE department develops programs, reviews data, and provides coaching and to management / supervision to ensure a safe work environment.

  • Engage site resources in achieving an injury free workplace.

  • Provide technical support and mentoring for HSE aspects and designated safety teams.

  • Provide support for shutdowns and projects.

  • Understand and Support the HSE Event, CAPA and Change Control processes, and influence application of the hierarchy of controls to reduce risk, driving toward site and company goals to achieve an injury free workplace.

  • Provide floor support to multiple operations (this includes auditing, data collection, trending, and supporting local safety teams).

  • Use knowledge of SIF risk to influence further minimization of potential SIF risk, and increase awareness / knowledge among site resources.

  • Provide IH and Environmental support for the sit

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree required. Degree in safety management, industrial hygiene, occupational safety and health preferred

  • 5 years of experience required

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position

Additional Preferences:

  • GMP operational experience

  • Prior HSE experience.

  • Must be trained on the CAPA system for HSE changes and deviations.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills

  • Strong communication and computer skills required.

  • Strong HSE regulatory knowledge.

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely, and accountable for supporting all HSE Corporate and Site Goals.

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Working towards or has an HSE certification a plus.

  • Case management experience

  • Familiar with OSHA standards

  • Hazard identification and/or injury reduction experience

Additional Information:

  • Limited travel required

  • Exposure to allergens

  • Level III compounds may be present
