Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

Aircraft Mechanic Level 3 (23023)(AM-III) shall possess a level of experience to repair all C-130 aircraft, engines, accessories and structure and propeller variants assigned to AFSOC both On- and Off-aircraft. The AMIII is the most senior mechanic in the DOL series and shall have a broad background and extensive experience in performing aircraft maintenance. These master mechanics possess maintenance skills required to perform and oversee all aspects of all tasks identified in section 4.0 and shall be able to read, interpret, accomplish repairs and manufacture parts from engineering drawings or dispositions. The senior mechanic shall be able to provide senior maintenance expertise and fulfill all of the responsibilities of an AMIII as described in DOL standards for this position. The AM III shall be qualified to inspect/clear aircraft discrepancy symbols to include Red X discrepancies and inspect/sign all equipment condition tags for all tasks that the team is assigned. AMIIIs shall ensure qualified team members to provide on-aircraft and equipment support. Skill level 9 as a C-130 all-systems maintenance craftsman or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect / Repair all assigned C-130 variants.

  • Inspect / Repair components assigned to AFSOC both on-aircraft and off-aircraft.

  • Build / Review Bill of Materials and Work Flow Packages.

  • Provide in house contractor currency and qualification training with-in the team, as required. All aircraft mechanics must have C-130 “hands-on” experience within the last 3 years and capable of performing all tasks IAW written instructions.

  • Structural /Sheetmetal repairs/fabrication

  • Airplane general taskings i.e., tow, jack, crib

  • Assisting other Mechanics in daily tasks

  • Load Test / Assist in load testing critical lifting devices for Airforce (AFSOC) assets

  • Build Work Flow Packages / Bills of Material

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience with maintenance on the C-130H

  • Minimum 2 years of direct experience with maintenance on the C-130J

  • Must meet all AM-II Department of Labor (DOL) description requirements and have technical knowledge of aircraft avionics, fiber optics, electrical wiring/environmental/bleed air inspection and maintenance procedures.

  • Other Requirements:

  • Public Trust/NACI (Tier 1)

  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data system

  • Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience:

  • Experience with or equivalent to USAF Skill Level 7 as C-130 Systems Maintenance

  • Florida Salary Range: $71,656.00

  • The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation for locations in the Okaloosa county within the state of Florida.
