The major functions of the Equipment Manager shall be receiving inventory and maintaining all athletic equipment purchased by the Athletic Department. This position coordinates the issuance and collection of equipment in cooperation and consultation with Head Coaches The person in this position must be capable of creating working relationships with manufacturers, vendors, and coaches. This role works outside of a regular schedule including frequent weekend, evening and/or early morning duties. The Equipment Manager must have the knowledge and expertise to make competent decisions without supervision. AEMA certification is required.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalency and two years of supervisory experience in the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in education and experience.

Knowledge of the standards issued by OSHA for exposure control for blood-borne pathogens.

Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, as well as Title IX guidelines.

Familiarity with all types of athletic equipment and its proper use, fitting and maintenance.

Working knowledge of computer programs and inventory software.

Ability to work irregular hours, holidays and weekends.

Excellent communication, supervisory and management skills are required

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various constituents and stakeholders to make an impact as a member of a team and diverse community

Knowledge of, respect for, and proven skills to engage with students, coaches, administration and other community members of various cultural backgrounds is required

Adherence to all applicable NCAA , conference and College rules and regulations.
