We are offering a contract- permanent employment opportunity in the healthcare industry for a Medical Billing Specialist in Glen Allen, Virginia. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who will assist in medical collections and billing.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the collections team in managing and resolving medical collections and billing issues

• Process and monitor medical claims accurately and in a timely manner

• Maintain accurate records of customer credit applications and payments

• Resolve customer credit inquiries effectively and professionally

• Use your skills in Medical Billing, Medical Claims and Medical Collections to enhance the efficiency of our operations

• Regularly monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service

• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in medical billing and collections

• Participate in regular training and professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the Healthcare or NHS industry.

• Proficiency in Medical Billing, Medical Claims, and Medical Collections.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology, healthcare regulations, and medical coding procedures.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and medical billing software.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations.
