We are looking for a CNC/Machine Tool Systems (MTS) Sales Manager. This position can be based in any of the following states: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Ohio or Michigan.

The Sales Manager will be leading a team of Account Managers and Target customers such as: CNC machine builders with manufacturing sites in the United States primarily via a direct business model. The main product is CNC control systems, and increasingly software to drive productivity and efficiency improvements.

Siemens has fully adopted to the new way of working. This position will provide a great balance of working remotely and occasionally spending time in the Elk Grove Village, IL office.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Leading sales for a multi-million-dollar domestic business with existing high-profile customers and an expectation to expand the business by increasing Siemens’ share of wallet and developing new accounts.

  • Providing leadership for the sales team aligned with Siemens’ Corporate business guidelines and strategy.

  • Collaborating with other departments across the Siemens organization to leverage knowledge within the company and identifying opportunities for process improvements.

  • Monitoring, measuring, and driving the team’s operational performance based on clearly defined targets and KPI’s.

  • Driving a high-performance team culture based on empowerment, trust, motivation and accountability.

  • Developing / expanding/ cultivating long-term relationships with key Executives within customer organizations.

  • Driving the development of strategic account plans and prospecting to ensure achievement of set business goals.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of successful sales experience in Industrial Manufacturing, preferably in the Machine Tool business - ideally – with a solid understanding of CNC machines.

  • 2+ years of experience in leading a team through complex selling situations with a focus on customer value and a “challenger model” utilizing digital threads.

  • 10+ years of overall professional experience.

  • Able to scale approach and messaging for all levels of an internal or external organization from individual through executive.

  • Capable of working in a complex ecosystem both internally and externally.

  • Strong communication skills in listening, respectfully challenging, presenting and closing.

  • Strong leader with ability to develop a cohesive team, leveraging existing skills and coaching each member to their greatest potential. Able to lead, challenge and motivate, while demonstrating emotional intelligence.

  • Able to lead the team autonomously, while integrating into the requirements of the larger organization; high level of self-driven decision-making abilities guided by set business targets.

  • Experienced at developing and implementing structured sales processes including CRM and social media platforms

  • Individual must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing.

  • Candidate must be Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in growth opportunities, industries and technologies (Manufacturing Software, Additive Manufacturing, Robotics, Electronics, etc.)

  • Strong network in US machine building industry

  • Core Industrial automation experience, especially motion control.

  • BS. or M.S. in Engineering related degree preferred

  • Travel is estimated at 50%-60%.

  • The pay range for this position is $118,790 - $203,640 and the annual commission target is 42% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
