As a Tool Crib Assistant II, you will receive, store, and issue our tools, machine tool fixtures, dies, and measuring devices. You'll be responsible for cleaning, oiling, and performing minor repairs on our tools and equipment and tracking surplus or obsolete equipment. You'll ensure our tools and equipment are fully functional and kept in safe working condition to keep the continuity of work operations intact.

Responsibilities:

  • Input new tools and employees into our TCMax tool control program

  • Validate and calibrate our tooling as required

  • Issue tools to our technicians

  • Assist in our reporting requirements

Must-haves:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience

  • A higher level degree may substitute for experience

  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Basic understanding of the use, maintenance, and repair of a variety of hand/power tools and tooling equipment

  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations

  • Ability to speak, read and write in English

  • To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Preferred:

  • Experience with TCMax Asset Management Suite

  • Experience marking and etching tools in accordance with DCMA requirements

  • Have working knowledge of tools that are managed

  • Experience ensuring all tooling is calibrated and in good working order Knowledgeable with filling out tooling related documentation such as broken/lost tool reports.

  • Past participation with DCAA audit preparation and execution with a favorable outcome.

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military Familiarity with MS Office suite
