Job Description
STAFF ASSOCIATE FOR FIRST GENERATION AND LOW INCOME (FLI) STUDENT ADVISING AND SUCCESS, Undergraduate Advising Center (UAC), to work closely with the assistant dean for FLI student advising and success, within the UAC, to provide comprehensive support and guidance to first-generation and/or low-income undergraduate students at the Institute. The role will encompass advising responsibilities, programmatic implementation support, enhancing program communications, and collaboration with campus stakeholders to improve support initiatives for FLI students.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; at least one year of relevant experience; advising, counseling, or academic administration experience in higher education, with a focus on supporting FLI students and to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within an academic community; demonstrated understanding of the unique challenges and experiences faced by FLI students support for advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion; initiative; strong organizational, communication, program development, and problem-solving skills; ability to convey complex information effectively to diverse audiences; experience collaborating with diverse campus stakeholders, including students, faculty, and staff to enhance support initiatives for FLI students; and ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, ever-changing environment. PREFERRED: master’s degree and one year of experience in advising, counseling, or academic administration (may include time spent as a graduate assistant while earning the master’s). Job #24056-6
Hiring range: $55,000 – 65,000 This is a full-time, hybrid position. Must be willing to occasionally work evenings and weekends, including travel to off-campus site for the FLIPOP Orientation program.
