Description

We are currently seeking a Process Technician for our Optical Service Center located in Brooklyn Park, MN. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team!

Job Summary

The Process Technician supports the engineering team in data collection, root cause analysis, process creation, documentation, testing, and auditing. This position partners with all departments in the facility to drive productivity and quality.

Position Specifics

  • Assists with the creation and testing of process control plans (PCP) to support capacity, capability, and improvements in order to deliver service and quality results to the network

  • Assists with the data collection and root cause analysis to improve overall manufacturing cycle time and increase productivity

  • Supports engineering, leadership, and maintenance in the validation of equipment, consumables, and other process parameters

  • Provides guidance to support standardization of processes and materials across all shifts

  • Audits processes and procedures to ensure quality standards are consistently met and maintained

  • Participates in problem solving to achieve swift resolutions with process improvement

  • Engages in Lean Six Sigma activities including Kaizen events, 5S, waste reduction, and quality initiatives

  • Assess processes, take measurements, and interpret data

  • Complete required documentation for all initiatives

Experience/Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent and previous optical laboratory environment or experience commensurate with department functions.

  • Must be able to perform to high levels of competency all aspects of lab manufacturing.

  • Good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Excellent leadership skills; with ability to maintain an even workflow and a motivating work environment.

  • Keyboard and PC skills required

  • Experience with Digital Vision Inc. (DVI) optical manufacturing software a plus

  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
