The Northern Light Health Surgical Tech Sponsorship program consists of the following benefits:

  1. Employees accepted into the Surgical Tech Earn & Learn program will be awarded full tuition, books, fees and supplies paid for the Surgical Tech program offered through Eastern Maine Community College (EMCC) starting in August 2024.

  2. During the sponsorship timeframe, Northern Light Health will pay for the employee to attend class, labs, and study up to 24 hours per week.

  3. During the sponsorship timeframe, the employee will work 16 hours per week as a CNA or Sterile Processing Tech. Employees accepted into the program will be considered full time and will be eligible to receive full time benefits.

  4. At the completion of the program and certification, the employee promises to remain a Full Time Certified Surgical Tech with Northern Light EMMC for 3 years.
